Rory McShane

Rory McShane is an artist based near Wymondham, Norfolk, UK.

Rory trained at in Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic between 1983-1986 and the Royal Academy Schools 1986-9 . He studied printmaking for a further year at the Royal College of Art in 1989-90

He worked full-time as an Art teacher in Norfolk Secondary Schools for 27 years between 1992 and 2019 and is now working part time at Wymondham College near Norwich.

He also works for the Exam Board Pearson as a Principal Moderator for A level Art and has moderated extensively at International Schools in China in particular.

Rory is particularly interested in Chinese language and culture and has studied Mandarin for the past 30 years , a slow but persistent learner.

He has been producing paintings and prints based on the movement and flow of natural elements and recently took up ceramics in 2018.
